Bio

Alyssa Danigelis is a professional freelance writer, editor, and project specialist. She received a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MS from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Her experience includes editing GOOD Magazine’s election-related infographics broadsheets in 2008. As the editor-in-chief for Sawhorse Media, she managed an international team to develop pro journalist listings for MuckRack.com and served as the lead scriptwriter for the annual Shorty Awards. 

She also assists clients with their sustainability, energy, climate, and social entrepreneurship projects. In recent years, she’s provided support to Native American Tribes in Southern California on resource management planning, renewable energy project grant applications, community safety proposals, and climate resilience initiatives.

Alyssa’s writing has been featured in publications that include Technology Review, Fast Company, Inc.com, Plenty, Black Enterprise, Natural Health, GOOD, the Boulder Daily Camera, Public Utilities Fortnightly, Yahoo, Tom’s Guide, Live Science, Discovery News / Seeker, Environment + Energy Leader, UR Now, and Currents.

Originally from Burlington, Vermont, she’s spent formative time in Boston, New York City, and Colorado before relocating to Sunnyvale, California. Follow her food adventures at the Full Kitchen.
